Ooh la la!! I was hoping to be able to find at least one market on our trip, but we found 4!! A flower and plant market (I'll post about that in a day or so), as well as 3 veggie markets. The veggie markets were also filled with stalls of cheeses, breads, pastries, meat, fish, clothes, household goods and such. We thoroughly enjoyed each one, often buying roasted chicken, bread, fruits (strawberries from spain were in season - so delicious!) and a selection of cheese for a picnic lunch. The weather was heavenly - about 20 to 25 C every day and the sun felt wonderful.. we did have a few drizzly days towards the end while in Bruges, Belgium, but it was such a picturesque town, that we didn't care..
Anyway, back to the topic at hand - the markets.. here is a bit of a photo essay on some of the sights - just wish I could also share the smells, tastes and sounds!
