Scenes from The Philadelphia Flower Show

What a trip! I was only there for 2 days, but I spent almost all my time at the show. I heard that it would be amazing, and I wasn't disappointed! I hope these photos give you a taste of some of the gorgeous exhibits and sights at the show!

A 25-foot tall waterfall is one of the first sights to greet visitors!

Cool topiary! A lovely lady..

So many bulbs.. these dwarf iris were eye-catching!

The flamboyant colours of the tulips attracted everyone who wandered nearby.
So many hues, flower shapes and sizes.

More topiary art.

So many cold frames and edibles! These frames are from
old windows and were filled with hardy veggies.. Keep in mind
that these are in place for about 10+ days in a warm room!

The 40-foot mixed lettuce wall. There were many jokes about bringing spray
bottles of salad dressing! :)

Across from the lettuce wall, a sizeable kitchen garden.

Another cold frame. There were four in total, one for each season.
Author Amy Goldman spoke just before me - LOVED her talk and her books!

Tomato plants - don't you love the rustic wooden supports that form a
grid over the bed? Must do this..

Scott from Lee Valley in Bayers Lake, Halifax. A nice surprise at the show!

Gourds for sale at the marketplace! Will they fit in my shoebox-sized
suitcase??

More veggies.. check out the jars in the background!

Loved this cold frame. Look closely at the shape of the sashes.

Cloches! Note to self: If you step on glass cloches, they break (I speak from past experience)

A doorway..

Rhodies!

Daffodils.. every size and colour..

The view from my hotel. Hello Philly!
